A Night of Talent and Fun

Hello readers! Last night my friends and I attended a concert at the Hi-Tone Cafe in Memphis, TN!
The concert began with an opening performance by a local duo called Paint Me Gold, which includes rappers Cochi$e and Basquait. Their performance was filled with energy and they definitely got the crowd hype:
The next opening act that rocked the crowd was another local artist named Preauxx whose performance was also filled with crowd participation and a plethora of energy:
Personally, it feels really to see local artist receive praise from their hometown. Now, it's time for the headlining act! YouTube sensation Turquoise Jeep rocked the stage with their stream of hits including "Cavities," "Fried or Fertilized," and a few other hits:
They also had a meet and greet with their fans which included myself and my friends who stood out in the crowd with colorful tutus:
I can see all of these performers achieve major success in the music industry in the near future. You can check out each artist's website and music at the following links:

'Scandal' Review: Season 3, Episode 1

The season premiere of 'Scandal' was on fire!  I must admit,  that I have been intrigued by the series thus far. The third season opener began with Olivia being bombarded with the press asking her about her affair with President Fitz. After Olivia's father read Olivia her rights,  she decided to stay in D.C. despite her father's warning about what her life will be if she remains in D.C. While the target is on Olivia, her team-the Gladiators- attempt to save her. Olivia decided to admit the truth and Millie declined.  As a result, Millie, Fitz, and Olivia decided to conjur up a story for the public. The Gladiators framed a White House employee of sleeping with Fitz. But wait, here's the shocking part: Fitz leaked Olivia's name to one of his secret service agents, who leaked her name to a  journalist!  *Clutches pearls* In the end of the episode, Olivia's father gave Cyrus a folder which contained some shocking information! However,  we will have to wait until the next episode to find out what was in the folder!  This episode of 'Scandal' gave me my life,  and I hope that this season will continue to give me my life!

See you guys next time!

Hello! Check out my recap of tonight's episode of Big Brother! #BB15

I cannot wait for the season finale next Wednesday!  Personally, I would like for Howard to win the $25,000 for being America's favorite house guest. Even though there is no one left to root for in the house,  I dislike Spencer the least, and he is an okay person.

I think that it is safe to say that there is no one left to root for in the house. With that being said, I'm ready for this ridiculous season to be over. It's sad when former BB contestants are not feeling this season. Not throwing shade, just stating facts.

'Big Brother' Recap and Review-Season 15, Episode 28

Hello! Thursday's episode was filled with laughs, boos, and lies! Check out my recap of last night's episode on thecelebritycafe.com Here is my insight on Thursday's episode: A-MAN-da is a major bully and needs to get evicted immediately! In my opinion, she does not deserve to be in the jury house. McCrae is over A-MAN-da's antics and temper tantrums and it is about freaking time! I like Elissa, but am I the only one who feels that she talks VERY, VERY slow. I am personally glad that the racist and possible Ku Klux Klan member Aaryn is out of the house. I really wish that Julie Chen would have told Aaryn that she was fired from her job even after her bogus excuses and lies. In light of next week's Double Live Eviction on Big Brother, who would you like to see get evicted on next Thursday's episode:

DST Getting A Street Sign

For Greeks reading this blog, I'm pretty sure that you all are aware of Delta Sigma Theta (DST) Sorority, Incorporated earning a street sign on New Hampshire Avenue in Washington D.C. Check out the picture below:
For those of you who do not know, New Hampshire Avenue is the street that Delta Sigma Theta's headquarters and Zeta Phi Beta (ZPhiB) Sorority, Incorporated's headquarters are located. Soon after the news of DST's accomplishment surfaced, major shade was being thrown between DST and ZPhiB. As a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, I would like to congratulate the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated on celebrating 100 years of existence and for earning their street sign. To my sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, in seven years, we will have the opportunity to celebrate our 100 years of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood. But, until then, let's congratulate DST on celebrating their centennial. To both organizations, let's not throw shade and down each other over something trivial as a street sign. As black women, we must congratulate each other on our accomplishments. Until my next post, see you later. :-)

2013 BET Awards: My View

I would have to say that I really enjoyed the BET Awards this year. Even though some people did not enjoy Chris Brown's performance, I truly enjoyed it. Buy hey, you can't really can't please everybody. Chris Tucker did a mediocre job as a host, even though I wish he would do a skit from Friday. There were only three artists that stood out to me for that night: Ciara, J Cole, and Kendrick Lamar. Their artists' made me actually want to purchase their albums. The best performances of the night was of course Ciara, Charlie Wilson's tribute, Tamela Mann, and Janelle Monae, who is very talented and underrated. But one thing that I really wanted to discuss was the way that BET treated blogger B Scott. So apparently, B Scott wore heels and another outfit for the BET Awards Preshow. However, they made him change his ENTIRE outfit. I would have to say that I am truly disappointed with BET for that. They knew what type of personality B Scott was, so why judge him based on his appearance and make him change who he is. I thought that BET was trying to do better, but I guess not. I guess it's okay to have your breast out while presenting the Best Gospel Artist award (no shade, but shade), but not okay for a man to dress what he chooses on the red carpert,GIRL BYE! But, besides that fuckery, I really enjoyed the BET Awards this year.
